Second Wuhan Marathon to be held on April 9, 2017

  2016 Wuhan Marathon was held on April 10

  The second Wuhan Marathon will take place on April 9, 2017, announced the event’s organizing committee on September 15 in Beijing. The number of participants in 2017 will be increased.

  According to sources, the race track of 2017 Wuhan Marathon will remain unchanged with Hankou Bund as the starting point and Wuhan Happy Valley as the destination for full marathon.

  The scenic spots along the rack track will be updated. The 28.7-km East Lake Greenway will be completed in the end of December 2016. Besides, 2017 will mark the 60th anniversary of Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, and it would be of special significance to run across the bridge in the second Wuhan Marathon.

  The 2016 Wuhan Marathon hit the road on April 10, and more than 20,000 athletes from 36 countries gathered in Wuhan for the event. Among them, 6,000 people ran the whole marathon and half marathon, respectively, and 8,000 people set out for health run. >>more
