On the evening of August 28, a folk culture street opened at Mochou Village in Zhongxiang City, Hubei Province. More than 10,000 people visited the street that night and experienced local customs and cuisine.
Mochou Village is the first tourist destination in Hubei where visitors can learn about authentic village culture and unique Jing and Chu folk arts. To the north of the village is a world cultural heritage site — Mingxianlin (Xianling Mausoleum of the Ming Dynasty), and to the south is the Mochou Lake National Wetland Park.
The reconstruction of this ancient village was invested in by the Vansign Group at a total of RMB 1.5 billion. The folk culture street is the first phase of the reconstruction. It is also a food street where people can enjoy the tastes of more than a hundred types of different food.
