- OVC EXPO 2016 opens in Wuhan

The 13th Optics Valley of China International Optoelectronic Exposition and Forum 2016 (hereafter referred to as OVC EXPO 2016) opened today in Wuhan, capital city of central China’s Hubei Province, gathering together more than 500 exhibitors from home and abroad, over 3000 experts and scholars and 35,000 visitors.
The expo this year will display the new technologies, products and ideas of photoelectric technology on an exhibition area of 40,000 square meters, which is divided into four main exhibition halls of light manufacturing, optical communication, light application and smart home.
The OVC EXPO is organized by five ministries and commissions of China and Hubei provincial government. It has been held for 12 editions since launched in 2002. During the past expos, up to 4,217 exhibitors, 430,000 visitors and 1,130 leading figures of optoelectronics industry have participated in as well as 265 projects were signed for a domestic investment of 75.8 billion yuan and foreign investment of 800 million yuan.
The OVC EXPO 2016 will last for three days until November 5, 2016. (hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
